New group montage.

I think we should start working on a new group montage. The best part is that I already found a good selection of songs:

1st is way too quiet in the beginning, and too intense at the end
2nd is great
3rd is perfect but too short
don't like the voices in 4
5 is too "heavy sounding," if that makes sense
same with 6
7 is a little short, but i love it
8 doesn't really have the right feeling
same with 9
same with 10
same with 11

I think the 2nd song would be best. they're all great, just not quite right. if only 3 and 7 were longer...

that image would be great if it dissolved in after the last shot of the montage, the maybe faded back out. you know what i mean?

Yes, I agree with you on the songs. The 2nd one is pretty wowesome. And don't post panos yet because I was just wondering whether other people would be wanting to make it. Plus I think that Amx should make it since he is the group leader.

But I think the first one isn't bad. I mean, it might be calm in the beginning so we just need some calmer shots. And the end has this really cool sound effect (just turn up the volume when the song ends).

And I know exactly what you mean about the image

i also like 2 best. sounds like it really works for a panorama montage. i think the rest sounds a bit 'too epic'. you could take that last sound effect from 1 and put it behind 2.

definitely, those two are great. but does it really have to be epic symphony music? I know it fits, but theres more stuff out there. Ratatat is one of my favorite bands, and I think that you guys need to look into them. songs like "Nostrand," "Swisha," and "Lex" are kinda epic, but they might be too upbeat for a montage. I don't know. check it out.

It is actually "Orchestral" music. And most 'main stream' songs tend to be too fast paced for images. If these were videos, then yes, they could work, but alas.

And do those songs have lyrics? If they do, we shouldn't even consider using them

sorry. "orchestral" music. but no, Ratatat has no lyrics. they might be a little too fast paced, but its good.

If someone can edit music, they might be be able to slow Ratatat down a wee bit, and then it could be perfect.
